About Zane Hedgecock
Zane Hedgecock was born in 1959 on a farm outside Winston-Salem, NC. His love of God's creation plays a major role in his art. As a historian of local heritage as well as the Baptist Church, Zane brings a unique perspective to his paintings, decoys, and other wood carving creations. North Carolina's landscapes, wildlife, and agricultural history all play a role in his media selections and artwork. Zane enjoys collecting vintage hunting and fishing related items, as well as agricultural relics, which help him create realistic art pieces that illustrate the State's distinctive history. His skills are self-taught, as his life's experiences have helped to form his unique style, which captures the various designs. Zane stays true to this style by reflecting on North Carolina's legacy and tradition in every art piece.
